Best tension rings for ED: the three FirmTech rings, ranked

Published by FirmTech Last updated: November 2026

For most men the best tension ring for ED in FirmTech's range is the $60 Performance Ring; choose the TechRing to track your health, or the MaxPR for the tightest hold.

Published by FirmTech. This guide ranks FirmTech's own three rings and does not review other brands, so it is not an independent ranking. Every ring is judged on the same criteria, listed under How we chose, using FirmTech's published specifications and review figures.

Which tension ring is best for ED?

It depends on what you want beyond firmness. All three rings share the same doctor-designed peno-scrotal shape, medical-grade latex-free material, adjustable strap and 5.5 inch girth limit. The ranking below puts the best fit for the widest group of men first, then the narrower needs.

The ranking

  1. 1. Best for most men

    FirmTech Performance Ring$60

Why it ranks here: It delivers the core benefit, firmer and longer-lasting erections, at $60, with a comfort fit rated 3 of 5 for tightness and a stated wear time of up to 12 hours. There is nothing to charge, pair or set up.

    Trade-off: No tracking, and a 3-month warranty.

  2. 2. Best for tracking your sexual health

    FirmTech TechRing$275

Why it ranks here: It gives the same firmer, longer erections with the same 3 of 5 tightness and up to 12 hours of wear, and its sensors measure firmness, quality and duration during sex plus nighttime erections, shown in an app. It carries a 1-year warranty.

Trade-off: It costs $275 and needs charging; a full charge takes 2 to 4 hours and lasts about 12.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 101reviews on FirmTech's site, as of November 2026.

  3. 3. Best for the tightest hold

    FirmTech MaxPR$60

Why it ranks here: It is FirmTech's slimmest, snuggest ring, rated 5 of 5 for tightness, for maximum firmness and a more intense finish, at $60.

Trade-off: Its stated wear time is up to 90 minutes, shorter than the other two, and it does not track.

When might another option suit you better?

If you cannot get an erection with arousal, a ring alone will not help; a vacuum pump with a tension ring, or medicine from a doctor, fits better. If your erect girth is above 5.5 inches, FirmTech rings are outside their stated range. See whether ED rings work for you and the ED ring size chart.

How we chose

FirmTech, which publishes this site, wrote this ranking. We compared the three FirmTech rings on the same criteria: who the ring suits, tightness rating, stated wear time, girth range, tracking, warranty and price, all as published on getfirmtech.com in November 2026. We ranked first the ring that meets the most common need at the lowest price. We did not run lab tests or an independent audit. Full details are on our methodology page.

Common questions

Which FirmTech ring should I choose?
Choose the Performance Ring ($60) for firmer, longer erections with a comfortable fit and no tech. Choose the MaxPR ($60) for the tightest fit and most intensity, worn up to 90 minutes. Choose the TechRing ($275) if you also want data on every session and every night. All three fit up to 5.5 inches of erect girth. More in the FAQ
What do ED ring reviews say about FirmTech?
FirmTech's reviews page lists 101 written reviews averaging 4.6 out of 5, with 78 five-star and 3 one-star reviews, as of November 2026. FirmTech also states it has sold more than 40,000 rings. These are FirmTech's own published figures, not an independent survey. More in the FAQ
Is the TechRing worth it compared with the Performance Ring?
It is worth it if you want measurement. Both rings are rated 3 of 5 for tightness with up to 12 hours of wear. The extra $215 buys sensors, an app with an Erectile Fitness Score from 0 to 100, nighttime erection tracking and a 1-year warranty. If you just want the effect, the Performance Ring costs $60. More in the FAQ
Which FirmTech ring is tightest?
The MaxPR. FirmTech rates it 5 of 5 for tightness and describes it as slimmer and snugger than the Performance Ring, for maximum firmness and more intense sensation. Because of that extra pressure, its stated wear time is up to 90 minutes, compared with up to 12 hours for the Performance Ring and TechRing. More in the FAQ
What is a tension ring for ED?
A tension ring is a constriction ring used to maintain an erection, often sold with vacuum pumps. After a pump draws blood into the penis, the ring goes onto the base to keep it there. Mayo Clinic, as cited in a 2026 comparison guide on rxsleeve.com, describes this keeping an erection firm for up to 30 minutes. More in the FAQ
Should I choose a ring or a vacuum pump?
Choose a ring if you can get an erection but lose firmness. A pump suits men who need help getting an erection in the first place, and it is normally used with a tension ring to hold the result. FirmTech offers both together: the TechRing plus the VaxAid Deluxe water-based pump for $499. More in the FAQ
